I have a variety of interests when it comes to photography, from shooting the moon to birds in-flight. Reflections are one of my favourite scenes but I am up to any challenge thrown my way. I have taken photos from all parts of the world and I still find Steveston and the Richmond area my favourite spots to photograph.
Steveston has so much to offer from a quaint little fishing village to the beauty of London Heritage Farm and in between Britannia Shipyard. Finn Slough is a great place to photograph in the late afternoons as with the setting sun and calmness of the river makes it a favourite spot for photographers and painters alike.
I certainly hope you will enjoy my photos and have a chance to come and visit Steveston/Richmond in your future travels.

Dave has been taking pictures since he was a teenager. After retiring from a thirty-five year airline career, he has been able to focus on his photography. He has won several awards for his works.
Photos have been featured on television, as well as in the Vancouver Sun, Province and local newspapers, including Real-Estate Weekly and several trade publications.
His work has been used by the Royal Bank Financial Group, Music Fest Canada, BC Medical Association, Tourism Richmond and Remax Realty as well as the Steveston Museum feature on the Heritage Canada website for museums.
Dave will shoot anything that catches his eye. For birds, he likes to use his 100-400mm zoom lens and to capture insects; and flowers, he uses a 100mm 2.8 macro lens. You can check out more of Dave Kemp's photos at www.pictureperfect.nu/photogallery.
